People with gastric problems are usually very busy because they do not eat regular meals else they eat food that are often bad for the stomach to de-stress. I am plagued with gastric troubles too due to hectic schedules since schooling days like zillion years ago.
Just two years back, I started finding various natural remedies to cure it because it did not help my bank account much by visiting the doctor way too often. There are hundreds of ways suggested by netizens to help relieve gastric problems like gastricitis and stomach ulcer. Also friends suggested that I eat this and that to help relieve the gastric pain and discomfort. My idea is, destruction caused by food can be countered the same way too.
Like I mentioned, there are many ways to cure which means that there will be many types of food too. However, busy people do not have the time to remember all sorts of food to eat daily. For my case, I do not have the patience to plan my meals properly like eating banana in the morning, steamed fish in the afternoon, and vegetable broth at night. So what I usually tell myself is "Don't go overboard with meal choices" and to eat a fruit or yoghurt after meals whenever possible.
For today's lunch, I cooked a quick stew from leftover luncheon meat and potatoes with korean ricecakes. In my opinion, sticky ricecakes are not that easy to digest. So I decided to make myself a light dessert that can aid in after-meal digestion. The good thing is, all 3 ingredients are natural foods that can help to protect our stomachs!

Eating the Yoghurt Now!
It'll look something like this after throwing all 3 ingredients into a bowl |
Eating the Yoghurt Now!
Sweet, Sourish, Fresh and Creamy Yoghurty Taste... |
Just in case you need some instructions on how to make this,
My Recipe
200ml Plain Yoghurt
4 - 5 Strawberries (diced into cubes)
1/2 tbsp Liquid Honey
Steps
1. Mix the Yoghurt and Strawberries together
2. Drizzle the Honey over and eat it!
I used Alvas Yoghurt. There is just something about the yoghurt that Indians eat which entices me so much. I do not recommend using smooth yoghurts like Meiji and Marigold brands because those are sweetened and I seriously doubt their nutritional benefits.
As for the strawberries, I used the small Korean ones because they are sweeter and less sourish. I am really afraid of eating sour fruits.
Also, there wasn't any liquid honey at home so I mixed the Manuka Honey paste that Sunny gave me with a few drops of water.
Ok, hope that you will try making this healthy dessert and enjoy eating it too. ;]
wah @@ look so yummy !!
ReplyDeleteI will try to make it after exam XD
Haha... stomach becomes strong after eating this!
ReplyDeleteHow is the taste of the yogurt? Is it still very sour or much much more palatable after the addition of honey and and the natural sweetness of the strawberries? I dislike plain yogurt, can hardly stomach them but do know its rly good for the digestive system.
