ByFood: O... Coconut!

This was my 1st time hacking open a coconut. Fibre husks flew everywhere. Some juice spurt onto my face. Finally, Mr Coconut looked badly injured. But thanks to him that I recovered from dehydration today.

I need to buy more coconuts to train. If only it is as easy as cracking open a peanut. One day I'll be able to make fast and clean cuts then enjoy the sweet refreshing coconut juice...

Sorry, Mr Coconut.

Oh well, I could've saved the trouble of chopping if I'd watched this video first. Hope it helps you guys if you want to drink fresh coconut juice at home.

Another method is to ask a Monkey to help you. But be careful...
The animal threw the missile from the top of a tree after becoming frustrated with his tiring labour, according to reports.
Leilit Janchoom, 48, had employed the monkey to pick coconuts which he could then sell for around 4p each.
The animal – named Brother Kwan – found the work tedious and strenuous but Mr Janchoom refused to let him rest, dishing out beatings if he refused to climb trees.
It is believed that the monkey eventually snapped, and targeted his owner from a high branch with one of the hard-skinned fruits.
Mr Janchoom, from the province of Nakorn Sri Thammarat in Thailand, died on the spot after being struck by the coconut, according to reports in a local newspaper.

  1. can start training your fingers. There's this chinese man in msia that uses just his one finger to open up coconuts. If i'm not wrong, he is in the Msian Book of Records. But a word of warning though. u might end up having a crooked finger for life !!! hahahah
